PLANNING COMMISSION

Community Development provides technical and administrative assistance to the Planning Commission, which is comprised of seven citizen members. Depending on the type of application, the Planning Commission reviews and approves proposals or makes recommendations on them to the City Council. The Planning Commission also develops policies and development standards for the City. The Commission meets on the second Monday of each month in the City Council Chamber at 429 "C" Street at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public, and persons wishing to speak to the Commission may do so by submitting an agenda item the week prior to the meeting, or by appearing during the "public comment and inquiry" portion of the meeting.
